Align. Define. Make it mine!

A 3 step process to getting what you want in life.

Align

Alignment is a nice little buzz word these days, but what does it really mean?

Alignment is an arrangement in a straight line, or to be in a correct or appropriate relative position. This makes sense for a car, but how do we cultivate this in our own lives?

1. Being in alignment with source energy. A daily intentional connection with a higher power gives you a direct line to your power source.

2. Operating from the truth: a. Anything is possible. b. There is a solution to every problem.

3. Living in integrity with your core values and your vision

4. Being present.

5. Following your expansion aka what brings you alive

6. Living from gratitude

When we are feeling off, anxious, angry, fearful or depressed we have shifted out of alignment. We have lost connection to source, become disassociated with the truth, or are likely to be in some form of self-betrayal or self-sabotage. We’re probably not being grateful or present. It’s hard to attract anything positive in your life when you are out of alignment so use the keys above to shift back into gear.

Define

"The wind is not favorable to the sailor with no destination in mind."

The word define (v.)). can mean to "determine, declare, or mark the limit of." People want happiness, they want love, they want success yet very few have determined exactly what each of those means to them. Moreover, those that have determined what the desire rarely have made a powerful declaration that they WILL have it for themselves. Lastly, people are asking the wrong questions when defining what they want in life. Many people ask: “What does my bank account say I can do? What does my experience say I can do? What would my friends or family think?” These are not the questions that will bring you fulfillment in life. Try asking, “What would I love?” Do not water it down or shrink it. Write it down and declare it.

Make it mine!

"If you want something you’ve never had you must be willing to do something you’ve never done."

Finally, it’s time to make it yours. How? Get uncomfortable, if you want something you’ve never had you must be willing to do something you’ve never done. This requires stretching beyond your current abilities, limiting beliefs, and habits. Develop new habits. Sever anything that is not in alignment with your vision. Take massive imperfect action and if you really want to move the needle, hire a mentor or a coach.

Your habits should stretch you. Your goals should push you. Your vision should scare you. Live in integrity with your core values and take aligned committed action until you reach your desired outcome. Even if you have to pivot along the way, the only way you’ll fail is if you quit.
